two miles

For the past year we have been pretty busy, to say the least.  Between buying a house, having a baby, and starting a business there have been times when we sort of forget that we live in Hawaii.  Sometimes a month or more will go by without our toes even touching the water.  So sad.

Big plans are made to spend the morning surfing, or the afternoon playing on the beach, but unfortunately long work days, lack of sleep, and not having a bit of down time to relax puts those plans on the back burner.

Times have changed.  Owen is a little older now and so much fun.  He crawls and walks (with assistance) like a champ, loves to climb and explore, and has recently discovered the building - or rather the tearing down of sand castles.  Thanks to Owen's "foster" grandparents, Steve and Susan, and his Auntie Cynthia we now look forward to spending the whole day at the beach.

And it's only two short miles to the most beautiful beach in Hawaii...
