We are doing what?!
We are heading off island for the first time in Owens life. His great-grandparents, Herb and Dorothy, really want to meet this little guy, but aren't too keen on a plane ride all the way to Hawaii. So they were kind enough to send us to them. We are looking forward to seeing our California family and friends, it's been a year and a half since we left, and it is going to be a lot of fun to show off the new addition to the Tierra family. It's a good thing that he is still nursing, so at least I will get to hold him then!
I have done the research and made my lists, hoping that being as organized as possible will make this a successful trip for all of us. Ciel and I love to travel, and hope to continue visiting countries all over the world with Owen in tow. But I have to admit that a 5 hour flight with a 5 month old makes me a little nervous. Owen is such a good baby that I'm trying to keep a positive attitude that all will be fine and that he will sleep most of the flight.
It is a good thing that we are heading up to the wine country...I may need a drink or two by the time we arrive!

Have a great trip, I hope Owen does well traveling. I guess this will be a trial run before your Indiana trip, we can't wait to see you all again. -Jason
I'm glad to see that you are all off the island since there is a Tsunami headed for the islands and supposed to hit at around 4pm today Feb. 27). From the looks of the evacuation zone map your place should be ok, since the high school is a refuge center. Relieved to find out that you are in California. I hope you are having a great time.
